Blumenhofer with Aqua and KR-Audio in Leipzig on the 16th-17th November

We will be at the Mitteldeutsche HiFi Tage in Leipzig on the 16th and 17th November. We will play La Voce and La Diva from Aqua Acoustic Quality as sources and the KR-Audio VA-355i. Cabling and power treatment from Cammino
The first BHA-16" woofer from small series production

Finally we are getting there again. After 2 years development and several iterations, the new 16" woofer entirely born on our experience and research. Air dried paper membrane. 8Ω and 16Ω for several projects. 2 versions, one for subwoofer application one for stereo application. We will soon be able to restart the production of the Genuin FS 1, which will become MK 3, because there are very big changes connected to the woofer.
HiFi Stars and the Munich High End System with the Gran Gioia 2x10"

On that day, we had a longer afternoon with the two journalists of the HiFi Stars, a german magazine. Alexander Aschenbrunner (who already wrote some reports about our loudspeakers) and Dipl.-Ing Klaus Sigl. They were eager to have a glimpse at the system that we were setting up for the Munich High End 2019.
They brought some music, we had other. The music styles covered a really wide range and the weather contributed a lot to make it relaxing, not just 'hard' work.
There were some surprises, but the overall comment of the persons was positive. I know, You (reader of this post) have read these kind of sentences everywhere... but believe me. I know the person (Aschenbrunner), who was talking in front of me, and we are always quite frank to each other when we meet, then, no need of bullshitting each other: when it is good it is good, when it is not, then it is a shit. Curious?
Well... allow me to post these comments in German language.
Talking about our new Gran Gioia 2x10 loudspeakers:
"Zum Klang fällt mir gerade der Begriff „Musikerlebnis“ ein - exakt dies passiert beim Hören mit den Lautsprechern von Blumenhofer Acoustics. Und je größer diese sind - so wie die hier in Rede stehende Gran Goia 2 x 10 - um so größer ist das Erlebnis"
Talking about the overall system (remember, when it is positive or negative, is always the whole system playing, not just a component):
"Blumenhofer, Kronzilla, Cammino? Das bewegt Emotionen!!"
Well, this comment was stolen in a quiet minute, drinking caffe and talking about something completely different ;-)

At this show we shared the big room with another company, Illusonic. This made the whole thing very relaxing: half an hour to present the system with the music, half an hour to discuss with customers outside... or drinking a cup of caffe...
Public was at a very high musical level, presentations were amazing, location was gorgeous… and we had a beautiful weather ;-)

Ultimate AV is our new distributor for Hungary

Ultimate AV from Budapest is our new distributor for Hungary. He is specialised in high quality systems and therefore his choice fell on our loudspeakers to be able to deliver to his most demanding customers the most proficient system.
We spent a good time together to learn from each-other the special tricks needed to setup a system in the perfect way. …and I enjoyed some special Hungarian Gulash!! ;-)

We introduce the Gran Gioia MK 2

No need for big marketing slogans, no need to tell You how many prototypes of the horn we built, no need to tell You what nor why. As usual, no compromises… but we collected good ideas what could come next ;-)
Today we will play the Gran Gioia MK 2 for the first time in public. At the Munich High End 2017 Room F224… there is no better moment to introduce new products.
We discontinue Gioia, Gran Gioia and Clara Luna

After several years we discontinue the Gioia, the Gran Gioia and the Clara Luna. The reasons are different but absolutely understandable.
The Clara Luna: one of the components is no more available and there is no possibility to find an alternative without going in the MK 2 version.
The Gran Gioia: in the last years we have made huge steps forward in the construction and in the knowledge about how to build horns and phase plugs.
The Gioia: very simple, the costs related to the construction of the Gioia are just a little bit lower than the costs related to the Gran Gioia. This would put the Gioia in a very similar price category to the Gran Gioia and would force us to artificially increase the price of the Gran Gioia. We are not keen to these pricing games just to avoid internal competitions. We aim at giving the best value for money to our customers.
Milano HiFi presentation of the Genuin FS 1 MK 2

Our Milan dealer, Enea Spinelli from Spinelli HiFi, participated to the Milano Hi-Fidelity show this year. An event from the Sound of the Valve by Stefano Zaini, this event presents HiFi in Milano since more than 16 years.
It has been an amazing weekend with some very good music and food. I enjoyed the chance as well to test some of the music for the Munich High End.
No big news in the setup but for the new racks of Solidsteel and feet of Omicron. Nothing very mind blowing, but a lot of small things to increase the level of the presentation.
Octave and Marantz electronics, Transrotor and Rega sources, Cammino cabling and power treatment. Blumenhofer loudspeakers.
