Wolfgang Kemper from HiFi Statement wrote a charming review of the Tempesta 17.
Helmut Baumgartner made wonderful pictures of the Tempesta 17 we sent him.
The whole review was very appealing and able to highlight the quality of the loudspeaker.
Here You can read it in German and following some statements from the article:
- Regardless what I fed to the Tempesta 17, the result was worth an experience
- This Blumenhofer loudspeaker is extremely tight to the live sound event
- The Tempesta 17 is able to present each kind of music and this even at low volume
- My suggestion for demanding music lovers
In the last part of his report from the Munich High End, Peter Breuninger put a video of our room in the show.
In his comments Peter says that there was a beautiful sound, had a lot of crispiness and no coloration.
At the end he apologized for the volume ...well, we should apologize for the volume, not he, but You know, when it sounds good, I tend to increase it more and more :-)
Thanks Peter for Your positive feedback!!
Here the link to AVShowrooms video on Youtube.
And here to the same video on Google+.
Stereoplay 2014-07 page 11 says: really impressive, the short bass horn which plays astonishingly homogeneous and fine even at low volume.
Fidelity 2014-04 page 62 says: Dynamic like a ride on a cannonball; horns from Blumenhofer and tubes from Allnic combine to a fantastic symbiosis of power and fine spirit
Thank You both for the positive comments!
This time was Martin Mertens who wrote the review of the Tempesta 20. It has come out today on Fairaudio.de.
I've never known Martin personally. So when the Fairaudio told me that he would have performed the listening session and written the review I was surprised.
If they trust him, I shall as well :-)
...and they were right!
Here You can read it, on German.
The reviewer writes that the Tempesta 20...:
- ...belong to that kind of loudspeakers made for listening for Music
- ...focus the happening where it actually plays
- ...its bass comes to the point, fast, sharp and agile
- ...it scratches in combination with a tube amplifier to the Nirvana of High End
Well, who would want more?
The online magazine Puresound.be released a report about a visit to our company during the Munich High End 2013. Here You can read it… in Dutch
He was enthusiastic!
That article is a really good description of what our loudspeaker is able to do.
By chance I found the online version of the article some minutes ago. Here You can read it.
That article was a comparison between 3 horn loudspeaker following 3 different operating principles. Here You can find the whole comparison.
You can read it on Stereoplay 06/2012 on page 38 as well.
You can reach the Stereoplay Leserwahl here

He wrote a very charming article about his experience with the Wiki, and called the article for Music Emotion "in Wiki Wonderland", here is the post about that article and here is the article in Dutch.
But not all of us are able to read Dutch (I'm not able at all), therefore René agreed to translate to English and Michael of Astin Trew agreed to support us with this translation (thank You René and thank You Michael). Here You can read it in English, well it is just the text, without pictures, but it it worth reading. Enjoy.
On the 28th of January, Hartmut Quaschnik paid a visit to our company in Walkertshofen. He wrote a short report on his experience at our place. You can read it in english here.
Hartmut mentions that You are invited to visit us during the Munich High End. Please contact us in advance, there is only limited availability.
If You prefer reading the italian version of the article, You can find it here
They told me it is great the way it is written and the information on our company and the quality of our products is very very positive...
...I'd like to be able to read it: it is written in Dutch. Here can be read online
"Die 100 beste Lautsprecher der Welt" is the name of the publication, it is a special issue for this season. It is going to be available in the next few days in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Stereoplay was recalling the experience they've had with the Genuin FS 1 at beginning of 2009, when they tested it. You can read the report of 2009 here.
You can read the report about the Genuin FS 1 on the special edition at page 92 and 93.
With him were Fritz de With, Lars Dam and Cor Kleijn.
We have listened, discussed and drunk a lot of coffee.
The Setup was impressive:
- Turntable: Acustic Signature Ascona
- Tonearm: SME M2-12
- Cartridge: Sound Smith Strain Gage
- Cabling: of Cammino Reference Stage Loudspeaker and Reference Interconnect
- Amplification: Kanzy KAAM-1000
- Loudspeaker: Wiki, Genuin FS 2, Fun 13
During the days we had as well found some music ideas for the future Blumenhofer Acoustics CD, and I tell You, even if the first CD has not jet come on the market, we are already looking forward for the second. BTW, how do You like the title for the CD (SACD maybe?) "Groove into bits"? It reflects the way we recorded it: mastering directly from the turntable :-) We also had a short taste of the first songs and they sound really "analog".
The discussions were long, the interviews interesting the ideas astonishing. A real brainstorming weekend that will have effects in the near future of the company. In other companies it is called business development, we call it listening for music.
At the end René was overwhelmed by the sound and the music. You will be able to read his impressions in Music Emotion in December. We are looking forward to read the full article!!
This article is the 13th article of the Audiogoeroes (Audiogurus) series: we are proud to have Blumenhofer included among the real big names of the Audio industry. If You understand Duch, You can download the article here
First one appeared on Stereo 09/2010 on the 5th of August:
As usual in the last minutes, but right on time we reached Chardonne in Switzerland. Nice situated on the Geneva Lake.
He decided to test the big Fun 20 because:
- the Genuin FS 3 had been already tested in some papers
- the Fun 17 was not jet burned in
The report has not been positive, and this is luck for the company: we were not yet ready for the international market and its demands, this would have taken us to bigger problems!!!
Furthermore the points Srajan focused on have been really good suggestions to improve our products and grow a lot in quality!
Here you can read the report.
I must say something: if you are disappointed reading it, remember, we did our homework and improved and corrected the flaws Srajan appointed. Come and listen yourself!!
- we improved the crossover changing one component that eliminated the echo Srajan was talking about (yes there was an echo and yes this was entirely our mistake)
- we improved the internal wiring
- we had to slightly change the compression chamber of the mid high driver due to a sub-supplier shortage: this lead to an unexpected improvement
- we changed the supplier of certain Caps
After these changes Stereo, a leading german magazine has chosen the big Fun 20 to become reference speaker. All the customers received the improved version of the big Fun 20.
Wolfram Eifert of Stereoplay wrote in January 2009 a report about 3 sound philosophies, he tested and compared a Martin Logan CLX, a Backes & Müller BM Line 25 and our Genuin FS 1. The report of the Genuin FS 1 is here. Along with the test Thomas has been briefly interviewed.
You can download the complete report of the Genuin FS 1 here.
