We met Ken Kessler at the Munich High End and we spent some words with him. During the talk we handed over our Grove into Bits CD and explained in which way we recorded it: directly from the LP and enhanced in the analog domain before going digital. HiFinews.co.uk and Ken Kessler awared our Grove into Bits CD the Album Choice Award for this month and gave us 95% out of 100% in music quality, a very high and rare reward. Do You remember that in René L. van Es visited us back in November? Here is the post about that visit.

He wrote a very charming article about his experience with the Wiki, and called the article for Music Emotion "in Wiki Wonderland", here is the post about that article and here is the article in Dutch.

But not all of us are able to read Dutch (I'm not able at all), therefore René agreed to translate to English and Michael of Astin Trew agreed to support us with this translation (thank You René and thank You Michael). On the 28th of January, Hartmut Quaschnik paid a visit to our company in Walkertshofen. He wrote a short report on his experience at our place. You can read it in english here.

René L. van Es, freelance journalist of Music Emotion, visited us again with Marco de Wilde of Music2 Audio Import and René Smit of HiFi.nl to have a deep impression of the Genuin FS 2. The chain was composed by Octave HP 500 SE Preamplifier and two MRE130 Power amplifiers. The cables of Cammino and Cammino's Power Harmonizer rounded up the whole system to a fantastic music experience. Soon the report about the event will be published by Music Emotion in the Netherlands. We are looking forward for it.

We received yesterday the article of the report of the visit of René L. van Es, the freelance Journalist who writes for Music Emotion in the Netherlands.
They told me it is great the way it is written and the information on our company and the quality of our products is very very positive...

on page 6 of Stereoplay 1/2012 You can read a short information about the Wiky. We are expecting Holger Biermann to visit us early next year to give more news to our german customers

Stereoplay's chief redactor Holger Bierman has chosen the Genuin FS 1 among the 100 best loudspeaker of the world.
"Die 100 beste Lautsprecher der Welt" is the name of the publication, it is a special issue for this season. It is going to be available in the next few days in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

Stereoplay was recalling the experience they've had with the Genuin FS 1 at beginning of 2009, when they tested it. You can read the report of 2009 here.

René L. van Es - Freelance Journalist of Music Emotion - has spent the weekend with us in Walkertshofen.
With him were Fritz de With, Lars Dam and Cor Kleijn.

We have listened, discussed and drunk a lot of coffee.
The Setup was impressive:
- Turntable: Acustic Signature Ascona
- Tonearm: SME M2-12
- Cartridge: Sound Smith Strain Gage
- Cabling: of Cammino Reference Stage Loudspeaker and Reference Interconnect
- Amplification: Kanzy KAAM-1000
- Loudspeaker: Wiki, Genuin FS 2, Fun 13

During the days we had as well found some music ideas for the future Blumenhofer Acoustics CD, and I tell You, even if the first CD has not jet come on the market, we are already looking forward for the second. BTW, how do You like the title for the CD (SACD maybe?) "Groove into bits"? It reflects the way we recorded it: mastering directly from the turntable :-) We also had a short taste of the first songs and they sound really "analog".

The discussions were long, the interviews interesting the ideas astonishing. A real brainstorming weekend that will have effects in the near future of the company. In other companies it is called business development, we call it listening for music.

At the end René was overwhelmed by the sound and the music. You will be able to read his impressions in Music Emotion in December. We are looking forward to read the full article!!

Excellent report about the Fun 17 on Fedeltà del Suono N°182 in Italy. There it seems that the journalist for the first time after a long time enjoyed listening music instead of a system.... and we got the Tech Award!

The common development between the companies Victrex, ATE and Blumenhofer Acoustics led to success and the sound of our Fun 17. Here you can read the press release and here the case study.

After an unexpected meeting in China, we fixed an appointment with Srajan Eban of 6moons.
As usual in the last minutes, but right on time we reached Chardonne in Switzerland. Nice situated on the Geneva Lake.

He decided to test the big Fun 20 because:
- the Genuin FS 3 had been already tested in some papers
- the Fun 17 was not jet burned in

The report has not been positive, and this is luck for the company: we were not yet ready for the international market and its demands, this would have taken us to bigger problems!!!
Furthermore the points Srajan focused on have been really good suggestions to improve our products and grow a lot in quality!

I must say something: if you are disappointed reading it, remember, we did our homework and improved and corrected the flaws Srajan appointed. Come and listen yourself!!
- we improved the crossover changing one component that eliminated the echo Srajan was talking about (yes there was an echo and yes this was entirely our mistake)
- we improved the internal wiring
- we had to slightly change the compression chamber of the mid high driver due to a sub-supplier shortage: this lead to an unexpected improvement
- we changed the supplier of certain Caps

After these changes Stereo, a leading german magazine has chosen the big Fun 20 to become reference speaker for certain kind of tests. All the customers received the improved version of the big Fun 20.
